Marty Love

on the road

Hi Marty Love here. I didn't like the stuff Momma wrote in my biography so she told me to re-do it. Personally I don't think I have a biography yet. I mean, I'm only 23. I haven't really done anything in my life that's worth anything yet. But in a failed attempt at a bio here goes...

Let's see, I began playing music when I was in 3rd grade, I have only been featured on three CD's, I never played at the Troubadour. Hmmm? You know I don't think that I have a good biography, now my dad had a good biography.

While in high school I realized that I really couldn't sing that great so I began following the things that everybody who can't sing does and that was rap. I was feeling like I was accomplishing things by writing organic rap songs that had some singing in them. Then the day came when I got full confidence. I came across G Love's CD "Coast to Coast Motel". Suddenly I felt that if this guy could make money at this so could I. I still tootled around with band and after band never really going anywhere but still writing songs. Then after high school, every band I had never really did anything great. Most of them barely lasted for six months before imploding. That was when I just got sick of it. I always was one of the more influential song writers in the bands, so I just kind of said that I could do it all by myself. I had all the recording equipment (even though I didn't know exactly how to use it), I could record my own songs. At first I tried to get people to back me up, but it was too hard to get my ideas on what I thought the songs should sound like through to other people. So I finally said, ok I'll just do it all myself and then get a band to back me up. And that still hasn't happened, but I am still trying and that something right?

For the past 4 1/2 years now I have been working with a band called Carnuba which is going fantastic. Still not my solo project but I am in full confidence of the musical arrangements and the musicians I have been working with. We have already recorded a full length CD and a three Demo's, which is awesome! I have recorded a few of my friend’s bands and am currently working on finishing a demo for my Marty Love project, which should be out as soon as I can get to it. I guess that's about all I got right now. I will keep this updated as I can, love you! ~Marty Love
